University Counselling

Our university counsellor assists students in their transition into university-level studies. This assistance begins in Grade 10 when students begin to consider their options for university, which will help them to select the most suitable subjects in grades 11 and 12. Individual and group discussions, as well as regular information sessions for both students and parents help to guide students’ choices.

Students are required to thoroughly research their university choices and are limited to applying to a maximum of ten universities, assuring schools that the student is a serious applicant. As such, university visits throughout the school year are integral to the decision-making process.

Approximately 75% of students graduating from IGBIS enter university directly after graduation, and 99% of students enter university within 18 months of graduation. Students have been accepted to many prestigious universities around the world, reflecting the quality of students educated at IGBIS.
