IGBIS has two library spaces for Elementary and Secondary school students.  Both libraries contain an extensive collection of nonfiction, fiction, e-books, and audiobooks. Students, families, and staff also have access to databases and online resources through our Destiny Catalog.  The library is open from 7:30am until 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Elementary students and their parents may visit the library before and after school.  However, after school all Elementary students need to be supervised by an adult during their visit.  Secondary students may visit the library independently throughout the day. 

All Elementary and EY classes have a 40 minute library lesson once a week. During this time, the Teacher Librarian works on developing information literacy skills, promotes reading for pleasure and to support the curriculum, and encourages students to become lifelong readers through reading promotions and events.  The Teacher Librarian also works closely with subject/homeroom teachers to ensure the libraries support the IB Units of Inquiry, Learner Profiles, and supports the IGB mission and vision.
