has-background wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"Start\"><strong>How to start the Exhibition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key objective of the Exhibition is to link TOK to the real world. Therefore, choose three objects which exist and you can provide proof of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below is a guide for starting the Exhibition. Arguably, you can begin with &#8216;2&#8217; instead of &#8216;1&#8217; but it is your choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You may identify a core theme (knowledge and the knower) or optional (politics, religion, language, technology and indigenous societies). <em>This may help you focus future choices. BUT this is not compulsory, it is not in the rubric. This is the same for the AOK.<\/em> <em>You are allowed to choose more than one theme but this may make your commentary less focused. However, It is\u00a0<em><strong>recommended that it is\u00a0linked\u00a0to one of the themes<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0&#8211; core or optional <\/em><\/li><li>Choose ONE prompt from the <a href=\"https:\/\/ibmastery.mykajabi.com\/blog\/the-theory-of-knowledge-exhibition-prompts\">list of 35<\/a> that may link to your theme. <\/li><li>Can you link any key concepts and\/ or thinkers (see below) to it? <em>Research the key words from the prompt and the theme or AOK you are interested in. <\/em><\/li><li>Make sure the object is a real-life example. <em>Do you have evidence<\/em>? The more specific the object is, the better. For example, if a bike is your object you can make it more specific to the brand, age, technological capabilities, colour, purpose, origin, size etc.<\/li><li>How does the object link to the prompt?  &#8216;<em>The object is interesting in exploring the prompt because&#8230;&#8217;<\/em> <em>Ensure you have linked the object to the real world. <\/em><\/li><li>If an object could be\u00a0<strong><em>replaced easily by another object to<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0make the same points then it is probably not a suitable object (hence the recommendation that it should have some &#8220;personal&#8221; connection to the student)<\/li><li>You do not need to write an introduction. <\/li><li>Justify why you have chosen the object. <\/li><li>How does the object link to WOK\/ AOK and\/ or a theme?<\/li><li>In choosing the second object, can you think of one which allows for a different perspective to the prompt?<\/li><li> You do not need to write a conclusion to the prompt. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-cyan-blue-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"Resources\"><strong>Useful Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ibmastery.mykajabi.com\/blog\/the-tok-exhibition\">IB Mastery<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"TOK knowledge heroes | TOK webinar videos\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/C8U3Kq3swCQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Core Theme &#8211; Taiye Selasi, John Stuart Mill and Paul Bloom. Science, Mathematics and Language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Start with the choice of prompt.<\/li><li>Find three objects which link to it. <\/li><li>First Object is the kilogram weight.<\/li><li>The second is a mathematical calculator.<\/li><li>The third focuses on an object that is bias.
